Two Headed Snake Hoop Earring

It's a classic everyday hoop earring, but with a twist!

A large hoop earring in the form of a vicious, biting two headed snake, these hoops are the big, mutated sister to my other Snakebite Hoops. I carved this deeply textured snake out of jeweler's wax, added a second head, and then cast it in sterling silver. I then cleaned up the casting and oxidized it, and satin brushed the surface to bring out all the details of all eight eyes and the scales. It's a classic everyday hoop earring, but with a twist.

The hoop is about 1 1/8" across or about 27mm across its scaly body, and measures is 5/8" or 18mm wide across the snake's heads, tapering to a long tail. It feels quite lightweight in the ear when worn. The tail curls around and tucks itself discretely behind the wearer's earlobe.

Oxidized and brushed sterling silver, with a sterling silver posts and sterling silver earring backs.

Made by hand in Brooklyn and ships gift boxed. The paper lining in the gift box may be different than what is pictured, but it will be just as pretty.

Oxidized Silver

For my oxidized sterling silver pieces, I recommend using a silver polishing cloth to keep your jewelry bright.

I do NOT recommend a jewelry cleaning salvation like Tarn-x or the aluminum foil and baking soda method because it will remove all go the oxidization from your piece.

For my gold pieces, a silver polishing cloth will work as well.
