The Honey Locust tree produces wonderfully long and very sharp thorns, and they often have smaller thorns growing off of the large ones. I collaged several of these thorns together, cast them in sterling silver, and twisted them into this ring. It's designed to be worn with the thorns pointing back towards your wrist and wrapping around your knuckle.

Details:

Sterling silver, oxidized and then brushed to a satiny pearly black finish. The 1" long thorns are pointy, but care has been taken to make sure they are not sharp.

Sizing:

This ring can be made in whole and half sizes from 6 to 8. Please allow 2-3 weeks for me to make your ring, in addition to shipping time.

Made by hand in Brooklyn and ships gift boxed. The paper lining in the gift box may be different than what is pictured, but it will be just as pretty.

There are several ways to go about finding your ring size:

- You can go to a jeweler, almost any jewelry shop will measure your finger for you.

- Bring a ring that fits to a jeweler to be measured.

- Printable ring size guides are a great DIY solution.

- Order a ring sizer kit. They are relatively inexpensive, and last forever! There are ones for measuring your finger, and ones that have a tool for measuring rings, and ones that come with both.

Oxidized Silver

For my oxidized sterling silver pieces, I recommend using a silver polishing cloth to keep your jewelry bright.

I do NOT recommend a jewelry cleaning salvation like Tarn-x or the aluminum foil and baking soda method because it will remove all go the oxidization from your piece.

Gold

For my gold pieces, a silver polishing cloth will work as well.
