Ouroboros Lapel Pin

The Ouroboros, an ancient symbol of creation out of destruction, life out of death.

I carved the original of the snake out of jeweler's wax, and then had it cast in sterling silver. I cleaned up the casting, soldered on the post, and then oxidized it. Then I polished off some of the oxidization to bring out all of the scaly details, and brushed it to a satiny finish.
